Body Shopping Made Easy

I concluded the last of my Christmas shopping today, part of which involved visiting my local Body Shop. What an experience!

For the females I had to buy for, I simply told the kind girl behind the counter how old they were, what they did and what my budget was for each of them. Ten minutes later I left with suitable presents, price tags removed and everything wrapped.

I wonder if there’s a market for something similar but with guys?

I’d probably wait for the responses you get from each girl first to make sure this works with girls before you start trying to make it work everywhere. I personally don’t place a lot of faith in shop salespeople being able to generalize my friends based on a few key factors. So I really only go for this kind of thing if it’s for a KK or someone I feel only compelled to buy for.

The body shop works because it’s something most to all girls would be open to but men know very little about so it works. Men are seemingly simpler so I’m not sure if they’d have something like this that would branch as wide across males.

Yep, I think there’s one for guys and I’m pretty sure it’s called JB Hifi.

You might need 4-5 questions instead of 2-3 though.

One of the walls in my office is glass so I have started writing questions on it in paint pen. Lots of staff (and even the cleaners) have gotten into writing their responses. At the start of December I posed “What do you want for Christmas?” … in hindsight I should have charged $10 to all the employee’s spouses to let them know what their partners wanted for Christmas! Mmm opportunity lost 🙁
