About

I’m Zac Martin, a freelance Creative Strategist and Comms Planner in Melbourne, Australia.

Before freelancing I spent five years at creative agency Cummins&Partners as the Digital Planning Director. Here I wrote and implemented award winning strategy across every digital buzzword you can think of. Prior to that I worked at George Patterson Y&R, where I cut my teeth on one of Australia’s biggest digital accounts.

Pigs Don’t Fly is a blog I started more than a decade ago about brands, technology and entrepreneurship. It was nominated for Media and Marketing Blog of the Year in Mumbrella’s Reader Choice Awards (2009) and back when ranking blogs was cool it reached #21 in the Top Australian Marketing Pioneer Blogs. Mumbrella also listed me as one of five bloggers to follow.

I’ve tried crowd-funding an invention, built and sold a number of content websites, judged award shows and have written for Marketing Magazine, News Limited and ClickZ.
